Abstract
Cement/lime/magnesium productions furnaces emit hot gases at 150-400°C, which, after passing through filters, contain suspended dust and oxides(CO2;SOx;NOx,) promoting origination of global ecological problems.
Dust is a part of the “smog”.
CO2 gas is considered as “harmful” only when it generates “greenhouse effect”. However, CO2 is “useful”, when it accelerates concrete hardening using carbonization nano-process. Cement is blended with 0,05-0,35t/t of CaCO3, that causes increase of natural resources consumption; at that, cement, lime and magnesium enterprises irreversibly emit CO2 to the atmosphere and generate “greenhouse effect” without its use in production that causes economic problem, in addition to ecological one.
SOx(SO2)/NOx, in the atmposphere they generate acids and return back to the planet as “acid rains”.
Application of zeolite sorbing agents is interesting for problem solution related to catching-utilization of dust and(CO2SOxNOx) from cement/lime/magnesium furnaces.
Despite the fact that they pollute the environment, there is still no BAT for catching/utilization of dust/CO2,SOx,NOx emitted from furnaces of cement/clinker/lime/magnesium enterprises (technologies of CO2 catching-regeneration, catching-conservation are known only), so the issue is topical.
Hypothesis 1:When passing burnt gases emitted to the atmosphere at 150-400°C from cement, clinker, lime, magnesium furnaces, through zeolite drying apparatus a drying unit acquires new function, i.e. modifies into a sorbing agent; zeolite will be heated and dehydrated, dust particles will experience chemosorptive precipitation on the zeolite, while(CO2,SOx,NOx) will adsorb in its depth. As a result, purified gases emit to the atmosphere, while via their utilization in some zeolite composition “enriched” by CaO,CaCO3,CO2,SOx,NOx, will take place their poly-modifying, that will generate compounds with fiber-acicular habitus containing(CO2,SOx,NOx).
Hypothesis 2:Cement/lime/magnesium enterprise furnaces and dryers are rotary, of continuous action and have large dimensions, that’s why it is difficult to conduct research by their use. So, in order to validate hypothesis 1 it is necessary to create the laboratory prototype of drying-adsorbing industrial apparatus of continuous action that is a project goal.
